Saw the trailer for ‘Carry On’ one day and immediately sent it onto the family WhatsApp group. We watched it just before Christmas and it’s soo good. The film is really fast paced and basically there isn’t a scene that seems to slow down the whole plot, absolutely a gripping and thrilling holiday movie. Lovely post!
I hope you have a lovely holiday season too and a fantastic 2025 (I can't believe we're so close to it already).
It's a shame that the ending with the first of these let you down as over than that it sounds really good. I'm glad you had such a good experience with the Billie Letts book too, it sounds like a wonderful winter read. As to the other one I haven't read it but I definitely agree that adults behaving like teenagers is incredibly irritating. If it was intended, like they're immature, and crafted well that's fine but most of the time it just seems to come from poor characterisation and is so frustrating.
Ooh I saw Black Doves too and really enjoyed it as well. Although it's a completely different story it kind of gave me Killing Eve vibes with its combination of spies and humour. I'm not quite sure how I've never heard of one of these shows that mentions vampires 🤔 I hope you get to watch and enjoy the All Creatures special soon too 🥰
You're right, it had Killing Eve vibes, I had forgotten about that series! I did watch the All Creatures special, it was lovely, hopefully you liked it too 🥰
Hahaha I'm a sucker for those kind of action-thriller movies but I totally get it. I didn't know it was hyped up though, I watched it because of Taron Egerton lol
Where the Heart Is is such a blast from the past! I also enjoyed that years ago. I may need to check out the one you read here, when I'm not in a dark, thriller mood:) We're planning on watching Carry On tonight actually so I'm glad to hear you liked that. We recently loved The Day of the Jackal (Peacock)- I feel like you'd like that one. Happy holidays to your family! I'm sure your baby is growing so fast:)
I did watch The Day of the Jackal and really liked it!!! I totally forgot to add it here 🤣 Happy holidays to your fam as well, and yes, she is super big 🥰

Hoping to watch Carry On and Black Doves!
Ohh let me know if you enjoy them!
Loved Black Doves and agree the humour and action were perfect! Did you know that there's going to be another series?
I didn't! So glad it'll be back, it was super enjoyable :D
We watched Carry-On at the weekend. Didn't quite understand the hype 😄.

I’m reading Into Thin Air by Ørjan Karlsson. I’m watching La Palma, finished watching Strike and absolutely loved A Man Called Otto.
Hope you have a magical Christmas x
Did this season of Strike already finish? I thought there were only 2 episodes released! Merry Xmas Steph!
